Every few years, my birthday falls on Easter. This is one of those years, and I absolutely love it! There is something extra special about celebrating the start of my life while the world celebrates a risen and reigning Jesus. Makes me feel super grateful. And humble. And loved. Also, I am 23 years old, just in case you were wondering. Not 16 or 18, but 23. Often times people think I'm younger than I am, and they keep telling me that in 10 years I will appreciate being mistaken for a teenager. Sure hope they're right!
Anyway, we got back to Cambridge yesterday morning, and our bodies have NOT yet adjusted to Greenwich Mean Time. (Thank you, jet lag and Daylight Savings.) However, I am definitely enjoying the late evening sunlight. It makes this place look even more magical. Funny how three weeks spent in shiny, industrial, wonderful America made me forget how lovely and quaint my temporary home is.
There is an unbelievable amount of catch up that needs to happen! Here are some things you can look forward to reading about in the next week or so: our adventures in New York City, my time spent in Oklahoma and Matt's in Boston, our new house in Houston, and much much more! But as for tonight, it's a stay-at-home date night for the hubs and me. My birthday ham, cornbread, and green beans are almost ready. Mary Poppins is cued up on the BBC iPlayer. I say, old chap, it's shapin' up to be a tip top evening. A right jolly holiday. Keep calm, and I'll write on tomorrow.
